Featuring John-Paul Deddens, Founder and Executive Director of SFLI

John-Paul DeddensAs a college student, John-Paul saw the powerful impact pro-life students could have on the pro-life movement. He also saw that pro-life students needed support. He founded SFLI in 2006 to build a network of support for budding pro-life leaders to help them transform the campus culture, save lives and reach their potential in the pro-life movement. Since then, SFLI has grown to be the largest state-wide collegiate organization in our movement today. John-Paul will give an update on the important work of SFLI, what was accomplished this past year and what is to come for this exciting organization.

Before joining the Thomas More Society, Peter was the founder and Executive Director of two pregnancy crisis centers in two suburbs of Chicago. At the invitation of Tom Brejcha, Peter joined the firm in 2008 and now directs the day-to-day operations. Originally a patent attorney, Peter now focuses his law practice on the protection of First Amendment rights and on end of life issues.

We Must Ensure a Pro-Life Future

Young people are the key to the pro-life movement. Not only are they more pro-life than past generations, they are the most important people to reach on abortion. Here’s why:

1.  Young people are the future. If they are pro-life, we will have a pro-life future.

2.  Young people are having the most abortions. 52% of abortions are obtained by women  24 years and younger.

3.  The college campus provides the most anti-life environment for these young people who are so important to the future.

Reaching college students will save lives and end abortion.  Unfortunately, the need far outweighs our current reach.  In order to reach more students we really need to take things to the next level.

Register here.

Not only will this be a memorable and inspiring event, but it also has the potential to have a high impact on the life-saving work we are doing with pro-life college students.
